Project Wayfinder for Youth

Project Wayfinder Youth Leaders Development retreats and workshops are an exciting opportunity for young leaders to come together and be empowered to affect positive change.

The retreats and workshops draw on Wayfinder, an innovative programme developed in collaboration with Stanford University, that equips youth with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become purposeful leaders and navigators of their lives. We complement it with teen relevant stress management tools, yoga and mindfulness practices to cultivate self-awareness, compassion, strengthen resilience and their sense of well-being. It’s a holistic approach in line with the Hauora model of “Te Whare Tapa Whā” where strengthening of the four pillars cultivate balance and a greater sense of wholeness.

If you are between 16-24 yrs old and would like some support navigating your life right now, please reach out to us. We offer the programme both in person at retreats (collaborating with other Youth Organisations), within schools and via individual coaching sessions.

Stepping into life with Purpose – a new programme developed out of Stanford University d.design school, to empower youth with greater meaning, purpose, resilience and belonging.

The Wayfinder Journey is about giving youth the space and tools to explore their inner world, and it starts with asking themselves simple yet profound questions such as: “What kind of life do I want to lead?”

Developed in collaboration with Stanford University's d.design school, this programme equips youth with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become purposeful leaders and navigators of their lives. It helps students develop a purpose compass that distills their values, strengths, and motivations (what needs they care about most in the world), into a discernible orientation in life that empowers them to navigate happier, more compassionate and purposeful lives that positively contribute to the world.

Drawing upon purpose development research, brain science, mindfulness practices, social and emotional learning, interviews with "purpose exemplars," and practices from native wayfinding traditions, the meaning-making journey unleashes purpose in students, strengthens their resilience and their sense of well-being.

You can read more about Project Wayfinder and what others have to say about our workshops/ retreats here, and about our trained facilitators Trish and Lisa here.

For teens or young adults looking for greater meaning and purpose, or to help navigate their next steps/direction in life, this is the programme for them.

We infuse it with evidence based mindfulness practices and mindful movement for stress release, to rebalance the nervous system and enliven wellbeing.
